FAQs

  • The value depends on your unique situation, but two of the biggest benefits are behavioral coaching and peace of mind. A good advisor helps you stay on track with timely decisions, adding structure and accountability to your financial life. You'll also gain clarity and confidence, knowing where you stand and what steps to take to reach your goals.

  • Yes. As Certified Financial Planners, we’re required to act in your best interest when providing financial planning and advisory services. Even when the fiduciary standard isn’t legally required, we’re committed to putting clients first in everything we do. We see our Christian values as the highest standard for client care and service.

  • We offer three main services: investment management, financial planning, and insurance solutions. Our core offering is wealth management, which combines all three of the main services. If you don’t currently have any investments that you need us to manage, you become a client getting exclusively advice support. For insurance, we offer competitive quotes for term and permanent life insurance and have an annuities specialist for guaranteed income strategies. Financial needs are never a one size fits all and we try to be thoughtful in our questioning and comprehensive in our solutions.

  • We focus on service, care, and impact. We prioritize spending quality time with clients to truly understand their unique needs—not just offering expertise, but building meaningful relationships. Growth is important, but never at the expense of knowing and caring for our clients.

We also believe in creative generosity - connecting clients with causes to make a positive community impact. Our mission is built around running a generosity-centered business and practicing what we preach.

  • We serve a diverse range of clients, but we’re especially equipped to help those who are: early to mid-career, generosity-minded, dedicated to serving others, living out Christian values, and/or intentionally building a multi-generational legacy.

We also connect naturally with those who enjoy hiking, traveling, serving nonprofits, and doing life in community.

  • Technically, no. We focus on working with the right clients rather than fitting everyone into a specific model. However, the level of service and depth we can provide is tied to our fees. There are times when a client’s need for support is larger than their current budget. We discuss all of this openly during the initial exploratory meeting to help ensure that we are the right fit and that you will ultimately get what you need at a fair cost.

  • Yes. Your first meeting is always free. It’s set up as a relaxed conversation where you have a chance to share your story, ask questions, and get to know us. We only take on clients where there is a mutual fit and when we believe we can serve in a meaningful way.

  • Sharing your full financial picture is an important part of receiving the most useful advice, but you don’t need to provide everything all at once. For our first meeting, we are mainly working to decide if we are a good fit. You can bring any questions you have about us, how we work, and what we offer. Once we agree to start working together, we’ll request details about your goals, family, income, expenses, savings, assets, and debts. Beyond that, we may also ask for estate planning, insurance, and tax documents as needed.

Financial planning is a journey, not a destination. We want to establish a firm foundation without overwhelming you out the gate. Slow progress is better than no progress so we are willing to move at your speed to make sure your plan is built to last.

  • While we tailor every portfolio to the individual, our core philosophy is grounded in research: avoid unnecessary speculation, keep costs low, and invest for the long term. We typically start with broad-market, low-cost ETFs and customize based on each client’s goals and risk tolerance. We only invest in areas we understand and may consider alternatives or cryptocurrency when appropriate.

  • We currently hold client accounts with LPL Financial, a leading firm supporting independent advisors with over $1 trillion in assets. They have a local office nearby in Fort Mill, SC, and offer strong technology and security to protect your investments. Situationally, we can use Fidelity or Charles Schwab. If that is a strong preference, share that with us in our Exploratory meeting.

  • Yes! We believe it’s important for every client to decide what they are—and aren’t—comfortable profiting from. If you want a tailored investment approach that aligns with your values and risk tolerance, we’ll work with you to find the right balance. With all of our team being Christians, we specialize in strategies that reflect those values, but we will always do our best to customize for any client.

  • Our compensation reflects the time and expertise your situation requires. When managing investments, we use a tiered fee schedule ranging from 0.5% to 1.5% annually of the assets under our care. For financial planning, we charge a flat fee and/or an ongoing monthly amount, tailored to the level of service you need. Once our clients reach a certain level of managed investments, full planning is included as a benefit.

  • For now, we have chosen not to maintain a traditional office, as most of the clients we serve prefer more flexibility. For local clients, we enjoy meeting in person at your home or a location of your choosing. Most often we meet with clients through a video call for convenience while still experiencing more personal connection. At the end of the day, we are here to serve our clients and aim to accommodate their preferences when possible.

  • We don’t do transactional advice. You’ll get meaningful time with your advisor and year-round support whether you’re new or a longtime client. Depending on the nature of the relationship we usually have 1-4 annual strategy meetings and timely responses to your ongoing needs. For local clients, we also offer social and service opportunities. Our goal is to build a professional friendship which helps us serve you more holistically.
